Village Health Clinic was founded by Dr. Brian Gluvic and Dr. Trang Duong, a husband and wife team who provide integrated health care, the blending of science-based natural medicine and conventional medical therapeutics.
Dr. Brian Gluvic
Naturopathic Physician
Dr. Gluvic received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Victoria in Biology and Environmental Studies and went on to complete medical training at Bastyr University and the Bastyr Center for Natural Health in Seattle, Washington.
He also completed training in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver.
He is board certified in Prolotherapy, Chelation/IV therapy and Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine. After completing a 2-year associateship at the Langley Naturopathic Clinic, he started his own family practice at the Village Health Clinic in Surrey.
Dr. Gluvic is a faculty member at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, the only Naturopathic Medical School in Western Canada, where he teaches pediatrics. He frequently lectures about health and nutrition at elementary and secondary schools, corporate wellness programs, and community forums. He is a regular contributor to the Choices Market Newsletter and the Surrey NOW “Ask the Expert Column”.
Away from the clinic, Dr. Gluvic is a dad, a mountain biker, a skier-turned-snowboarder-turned-skier, a gardener, and a pizza connoisseur.
Dr. Trang Duong
Naturopathic Physician
Registered Midwife
Dr. Duong received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with Honors at the University of California in Santa Cruz. She accomplished her medical training at Bastyr University and the Bastyr Center for Natural Health in Seattle, Washington, where she received her degree in Naturopathic Medicine and Midwifery.
Dr. Duong has also completed the Breastfeeding Counselor Certification Program through Douglas College in New Westminster. In 2002, she traveled to the Vanuatu to deliver babies in a high-risk centre.
Dr. Duong currently maintains a family practice at the Village Health Clinic in Surrey with an emphasis in Midwifery and Women’s health. Her hospital privileges include Peace Arch Hospital and Surrey Memorial Hospital. Dr. Duong is a Clinical Instructor with the UBC Division of Midwifery, Department of Family Practice.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Duong is a mom, a hot yoga addict, and a gluten-free, dairy-free and egg-free home cook.
Dr. Duong is a member of the College of Midwives of British Columbia, Midwives Association of British Columbia, and Canadian Association of Midwives.

Mojgan Nadafi
Registered Midwife
Mojgan’s interest in midwifery began when she was 9 years old and her mother gave birth to her sister at home. Since then, she has pursued education in the field, receiving her degree in Midwifery from the Iran Shiraz University in 1997. In 2004, while teaching and practicing through the University, she received her Master’s of Science in Midwifery.
In 2006, Mojgan immigrated to Canada and completed the International Pre-Registration Program at Ryerson University in Toronto. She practiced as a clerk in Ajax, Ontario, and as a Registered Midwife in London, Ontario for the past 3 years. Mojgan has provided midwifery and post-partum care for a wide variety of clients, including many different ethnic and special population groups, such as Amish and Mennonite women.
Mojgan recently moved to beautiful British Columbia with her husband, son and daughter, and is very excited to be working with the Village Health Clinic to provide midwifery care. She is honored to assist women and their families though pregnancy, birth, and post-partum care with continuity and informed choice.
Kelly Mawson, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Kelly Mawson is a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. As a full time Registered Massage Therapist, Kelly has been providing effective massage therapy for over 4 years. Kelly’s practice includes treatments for both acute and chronic injuries, arthritis, headaches, muscular pain and detoxification of tissues. She provides therapy for anxiety, depression, insomnia and stress management as well as pre- and post-natal massage.
She utilizes massage therapy techniques such as Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, stretching, hydrotherapy, homecare techniques, and patient education. Through massage therapy Kelly has had the privilege of assisting with a patient’s natural course of healing.
Kelly is currently accepting new patients. RMT’s are covered by most extended medical plans, so be sure to refer all your friends, family, colleagues, and patients.

Adrienne Briscoe

Adrienne Briscoe received her Bachelor of Science, majoring in Sales and Marketing from the University of British Columbia. She has 15 plus years of experience in the corporate world ranging from sales, marketing and project management.
Her working experience has opened her eyes to the effects of stress and poor dietary, exercise and overall health habits, which lead her to become an advocate of a balanced, healthy lifestyle. While searching to improve her own health and consulting with Dr. Gluvic, she tried her first colonic. She became an instant believer in this detoxification treatment and wanted to help others on their journey to health.
Since completing her Colon Hydrotherapy course in 2008 from Prime Vitality School of Colon Hydrotherapy she has been practicing at the Village Health Clinic.
